Mrs. Perry was born into Salem congregation and is a lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church. She began her career at Salem Lutheran School in 1963 when she entered first grade in the very classroom she teaches in now. A calling to teach God’s children lead Mrs. Perry to major in Child Development at Cal State Northridge. While in college she worked at Salem as a classroom aid, and Day Care worker, and then as the Day Care Director. She has taught Spanish, and Remedial Reading, at Salem before joining the full time teaching staff in 1998. For the past nineteen years Mrs. Perry has been enjoying teaching the first graders at Salem. This year she has stepped into the role of interim principal as Salem continues to carry its mission into the future.

Marcea Pardus – School Secretary

Hello, my name is Marcea Pardus, and I am the School Secretary.
I was born, raised and educated in South Pasadena, California.
I have been married for 35 years, and have 2 grown children, and 3 grandchildren.
I stayed home to raise my family, and when it came time for me to look for work, my goal was to get a job where I could do service and work with children in a Christian setting. In an answer to prayer, an opportunity to work as a school secretary at a Lutheran school in Pasadena was provided to me. I worked there for 9 years before arriving at Salem Lutheran School in the fall of 2009.
I am thrilled to be at Salem Lutheran School in a Christ-centered learning environment that helps prepare the next generation of God’s Kingdom for service to our community and our world.
