Biography

Ms. Grimes believes that children succeed when they have the support of parents, teachers and administrators. An advocate of hands-on learning, she strives to reach all students through differentiated teaching methods. It is her goal to create a dynamic learning environment where students feel safe to excel academically, to express their individuality and to learn the value of being conscientious citizens. She is a native of the San Gabriel Valley and a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona and holds a Master’s degree in History. With experience in both the public and private school systems, she has been happily teaching at Salem for eleven years.

Honor Roll
Salem Lutheran School offers two levels of honor roll: gold and silver. In order to receive gold honors, students must earn a cumulative GPA 0f 3.75 and above. To receive silver honors, students must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5-3.74. *Citizenship impacts honor roll: A grade of Satisfactory (S) makes a student ineligible for honor roll.

CITIZENSHIP GRADING SCALE
O (outstanding) = 0 instances, V (very good) = 1 instance, S (satisfactory) = 2 instances, N (needs improvement) = 3 instances, U (unsatisfactory) = 4 instances. Students who receive a U are ineligible for honor roll.
